This inn dates back to the 1700's and is currently closed and up for sale. Although it is not open, many believe the ghosts still linger. Locals tell the story of a murder suspect, Indian Joe, who was hanged in front of the inn and buried on the grounds. It was said that he killed a young girl named Emily, but after his execution, he was found innocent of the crime. Both the apparitions of Indian Joe and Emily have been seen around the area, Emily's most often in the ladies' bathroom on the main floor. She has also been seen at the top of the stairs holding a doll. Other ghosts that have been spotted here include elderly ladies and men often found in the lounge area.

It is not for sale. It is currently owned by the county and used as a museum. I attended an open house there yesterday. I unfortunately didn't see anything other than some historical displays.
