PAHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Missy Rogers of The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown), to discuss what's new at The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) for the 2024 Halloween Season!

What's new at The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) for 2024? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

This year we will be adding Sunday nights - Scream in the Dark, it is the only option on a Sunday night and it is a blackout experience.

What are you most excited about for the 2024 Halloween Season?

As always we will are excited for our new layout and interaction areas, we are also excited about the Hearse Show.

What differentiates The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) from other local haunts in Pennsylvania?

We are an old school haunt which uses limited animatronics, we interact more with customers and all our scenes and props are done with a low budget and by all our volunteers.

How long has The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown)'s history?

We first opened in 2021 but were all a part of a different haunt, that closed, in a neighboring town since 1997.

What's your favorite experience since opening The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown)?

We love sharing what we work so hard on with the community and seeing the volunteers grow as individuals with all they do to prepare for things.

How long is a typical haunt experience at The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) from start to finish?

at least 45 min to an hour

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) is? Why?

10-we aim to hit all your fears and you never know what to expect, every area is different and leads to something not related to the last.

Does The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown)'s property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

Yes it does.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

We are a family and love to scare people and raise money for the community and surrounding area community needs.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown)?

We use sensors and battery/remote lighting in a lot of areas, which helps with not needing people to be there.

Can The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) accommodate large groups? How many people can experience The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) together as a group?

We take large groups and give discounts in advance but we try to limit the number of people to 5-6 or less. We also do not take a group with one person, we always have 2 or more, up to 5-6 in a group.

Does The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown) offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Yes, we do special deals on facebook and instagram, offer fundraising opportunities and group discounts. We also offer special area that you can reserve to hang out in and see what is going on around you.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about The Haunt PA (in Schaefferstown)?

Don't let our low price and limited marketing stop you from visiting us. We scare just like the big haunts but offer an old school unique experience at a fraction of the price. We are tiny in price but huge with the scares and uniqueness!
