PAHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Heather Peters of Spook Haven Haunted House, to discuss what's new at Spook Haven Haunted House for the 2022 Halloween Season!

What's new at Spook Haven Haunted House for 2022? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

We are excited to announce we have 3 attractions available this season. 2 are all newly built and themed. BEN (Bizarre Evil Nightmares) School and Sick Sense. Our beloved Whisper Creek Manor will be retired after Oct 2022 season. But wait till the new one is build for 2023!!

What are you most excited about for the 2022 Halloween Season?

We final got 3 attraction under one roof. Customers have a choice to go through 1, 2, or all 3.

What differentiates Spook Haven Haunted House from other local haunts in Pennsylvania?

We have been named as Central Pennsylvania's Premier Haunted Attraction. Our actors make it fun, scary, and exciting for everyone.

How long has Spook Haven Haunted House been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Spook Haven Haunted House's history?

This will be our 16th season. We started in 1997 in Castanea and purchased the Old school building in Mill Hall in 2011. Since them we have worked to get back to the basics and give you a great show.

What's your favorite experience since opening Spook Haven Haunted House?

Well......we truly have a "spirit" that roams the halls of the old school. We have found out that he was the janitor of the school back in the day. He's a gentle spirit but likes to mess a bit with ya. So if you happen to see a tall 6 ft man, you may very well have encountered our Spirit guard.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Spook Haven Haunted House from start to finish?

It will take an hour to go through all the attractions depending on the wait line.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Spook Haven Haunted House is? Why?

We are not over the top, however we are between 6-8. You can always purchase a chicken necklace if you don't want touched during the show.

Does Spook Haven Haunted House's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

We sure do. Our janitor still takes care of his school. We have also been told that their are some children spirits there, however we haven't "seen them" but hear them at time and little shots of wind as they run by you.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

Entertaining others. At the time, there just wasn't much available in our area. We love to see people having fun.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Spook Haven Haunted House?

We call this eye candy, but our haunted house is alive because of our actors. Building beautifully detailed sets doesn't do anything if the actors aren't bring it to life. We receive lots of compliments on our actors and how engaging they are.

Can Spook Haven Haunted House accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Spook Haven Haunted House together as a group?

Yes we can, but we limit 6 to a group so everyone can get the best experience.

Does Spook Haven Haunted House offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?
